Daniel Barrow: Emotional Feelings at the AGYU

Daniel Barrow is kickstarting Images Festival with Emotional Feelings on March 31st at the AGYU (located in the Accolade East Building on York Campus, 4700 Keele Street Toronto). In his practice, Barrow has combined obsolete media technology with drawing and collecting.  This exhibition explores themes of dualism and incorporates interactive media with performance.  The event runs from 6-9pm.
For those living downtown, there is a free performance bus that leaves OCAD on March 31st at 6pm, and returns at 9pm sharp. The ride is an artwork itself, featuring artist Allyson Mitchell who considers herself a maximalist artist (I had to google “maximalist”: it has something to do with obsessive, complex, and exhibitionist collections and accumulations). Mitchell uses feminism and pop-culture to explore ideas about sexual identity, autobiography and the body.
