For many of you, these following two or three weeks bonding with a cup of coffee or tea is the way to stay awake, and on top of stressful tasks. This partnership almost never fails anyone around this time of the year. However, if you would really like to treat yourself to a relaxing activity , I encourage you to go to a show. This will really get you going in between long days and nights of final projects and exams.
It is recommendable that you let your brain rest, but you probably haven’t even thought about it in the last days because you have been so busy. I advise you to temporarily walk away from your work setting. Once you get your body moving, oxygen refreshen your brain. And to really get you mind off your academic business, get distracted by an installation, a film, a painting, a sculpture, a work of art. Go to an opening. Meet someone new. If you are in the position where you need ideas for your own work, chances are that seeing work by other people will probably trigger a new approach to your project. Or you can just be blown away by an amazing work of art, just for the sake of amusement. Nothing wrong with that.
